Once a year, the center of the historical Stavelot is shut down for traffic, and there is a big flea market held. This will take place in late June each year. It is a cozy, summer flea market, where you can find many interesting things.
Every Thursday, there is a weekly market in Stavelot, at the forecourt of the abbey. It is a nice market where you can find nice things that you find also elsewhere: stalls with all kinds of fruits, vegetables, fried chicken, flowers, you name it, all in the area of our camping in Stavelot.
In Spa there is a weekly flea market that is held every Sunday in the center between 8:00 and 13:00 hours. Spa is approximately a 20 minutes’ drive from Camping L’Eau Rouge.
Every Friday in the Simenonwijk of Luik, there is a flea market of Saint-Phollien which lasts the whole day. The whole year long on a Saturday in Luik, the market of Amercoeur is held. And every Sunday in Luik, between 8:00 and 14:00 hours, alongside Quai de Maestricht the La Batte-market is held, with vegetables, fruit, cheese, books and plants. It is the biggest and oldest market of Belgium. Luik is approximately a 40 minutes’ drive from Camping L’Eau Rouge.
In Welkenraedt, the whole year long on Sundays, between 7:00 and 13:00, there is a big flea market held at Place des Combattants. In Malmédy, an autumn market is held in November. Welkenraedt is approximately a 35 minutes’ drive from Camping L’Eau Rouge and Malmédy about 15 minutes.
